Removal and installation of nozzles

GENERAL INFORMATION

The damaged nozzles can lead to strong blows at operation of the engine, reminding operation of the engine with the damaged bearings. In the presence of the similar phenomena it is necessary to start the engine on single turns and in turn to weaken cap nuts of pipelines of a high pressure. If at an otvorachivaniye of any nut blows disappear, it indicates existence of defect of the corresponding nozzle.

The defective nozzle can be revealed also otvorachivaniy cap nuts at operation of the engine on fast single turns. If at an otvorachivaniye of any nut the number of turns of the engine does not change, it indicates defect of the corresponding nozzle. The nozzle is checked by means of a manometer (work HUNDRED).
ATTENTION

The damaged nozzles should be replaced, as their adjustment or repair are not possible.



First signs of malfunction of a nozzle following:

– Defective ignition;
– Knocks in one or several cylinders;
– Engine overheat;
– Engine capacity falling;
– Excessively black exhaust gases;
– High fuel consumption;
– A dense dark blue smoke at cold start.

REMOVAL

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clear pipelines of a high pressure a cold cleaner.
2. Remove in a set pipelines of a high pressure for what weaken cap nuts an open cap key, for example, HAZET 4560 or VW-3035.

ATTENTION

Do not turn in pipelines of a high pressure. The pipeline remove surely in a set.


3. Unscrew a bolt of fastening of a nozzle, remove a collar and take out a nozzle.

ATTENTION

At difficulty with demontazhy nozzles it is possible to use a shock stripper, for example, VW–3364 or HAZET 1966. The auxiliary tool which wells up on a nozzle is necessary for installation of a shock stripper.


The auxiliary tool can be made as follows. Cut off the old pipeline of a high pressure behind a cap nut at distance about 5 see. Fix the soldering on the cut-off end nut М6.
ATTENTION

The tool carefully clear. Hit of dirt will lead a nozzle to failure!


4. Screw the auxiliary tool on at a stop nozzle and establish on the soldered nut a shock stripper. Extend a nozzle.
5. Remove heat-shielding consolidation.
INSTALLATION
6. Surely establish new heat-shielding consolidations between a head of cylinders and a nozzle. Deepening of consolidation should be turned up, the arrow on an illustration shows towards a head of cylinders.
7. Insert a nozzle into place.
8. Establish a collar of fastening of a nozzle, thus watch the correct provision of a support.
9. Insert a bolt with a spherical washer and fix the moment of 20 N of m.
10. Fix pipelines of a high pressure the moment of 25 N of m.
