Installation of the piston of the first cylinder in VMT

1. Remove the top cover of a gear belt.
2. Mark a felt-tip pen the direction of its rotation. The engine if to look sideways, rotates clockwise.
3. Turn a cranked shaft so that the camshaft occupied position VMT of the piston of the first cylinder.
4. To turn the engine it is possible in several ways.

1. Lift and establish the car on supports ahead sideways. Include the fifth transfer, tighten the parking brake. The lifted wheel turn manually. Thus, the cranked shaft is at the same time turned. Performance of this operation needs the assistant.
2. Establish the car on an equal platform. Include the fifth transfer. Shift the car forward or back.
3. Switch RKPP in neutral situation. Tighten the parking brake. Turn a cranked shaft for the central bolt of a pulley of a belt drive.


Do not turn the engine for a bolt of fastening of a wheel of a camshaft. In a way excessive load of a gear belt is created.

5. Turn the engine so that marking on a wheel of a camshaft coincided with VMT marking on a cover of a head of cylinders. At the same time marking of a pulley of a cranked shaft costs on the shooter of the bottom cover of a gear belt. Now the engine is in the provision of the moment of ignition of the first cylinder.
