Removal and installation of the fuel filter

GENERAL INFORMATION

The fuel filter with elements of fastening and hoses

REMOVAL

The fuel filter-1-is on the bottom before a fuel tank, looking in the movement direction. Within carrying out maintenance to replace the filter it is not required.

ATTENTION

At removal of the fuel pump some volume of fuel can flow out. Fuel pairs are poisonous and inflammable, therefore it is necessary to watch especially good ventilation of a workplace. Exclude fuel hits on skin. Use the mittens resistant in relation to fuel. Do not use dug-out fire. There is a danger of emergence of a fire! Keep in readiness the fire extinguisher.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Lift and establish the car on supports. Put under the fuel filter of-1-capacity for collecting following fuel.

2. Press fuel hoses 2/3 corresponding collars, for example HAZET 4590.

3. Compress quick disconnect couplings and disconnect fuel hoses from the filter. Thus close connection by a thick rag. After that, carefully disconnecting a hose, remove pressure.

4. Disconnect the holder–4–, having unscrewed the screw-5-.

ATTENTION

The filter is filled with fuel.

INSTALLATION

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish the new fuel filter so that marking on the filter showed in the direction from a tank to the engine. 7–to the fuel distributive highway at the engine.
2. Put on hoses, thus fix couplings.
3. Pass on the car and check tightness of shlangovy connections.
