Replacement of the sensor of oxygen

GENERAL INFORMATION

The oxygen sensor (l-probe) serves for regulation of composition of the fulfilled gases at petrol engines. It is screwed in a reception pipe near to the catalytic converter.

REMOVAL

ATTENTION

When lifting and car installation on supports there is a danger! Therefore previously familiarize with car Poddomkrachivaniye's subsection.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Lift and establish the car on supports.
2. Unscrew near the catalytic converter a cover of shtekerny connection of the sensor of oxygen. Disconnect an electric wire with clips at the heat-shielding screen. Take out from a cover the socket and расстыкуйте it.
3. Turn out the oxygen sensor a wrench, for example, HAZET 4680–3, from a pipe.

INSTALLATION

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Grease a carving of the sensor of oxygen with special AUDI "G5" greasing. New sensors are already covered with the specified greasing. ATTENTION Do not allow G5 hit in a shlitsa of the case of the sensor. The case of the new sensor whenever possible do not touch and do not pollute.
2. Screw the sensor in a reception pipe the moment of 50 N of m.
3. Lay a sensor cable in clips and connect. Screw a cover of shtekerny connection at the bottom.
4. Lower the car on wheels.
