Removal and installation of a brake hose

GENERAL INFORMATION

Brake hoses and pipelines carry out communication of the main brake cylinder with wheel cylinders.
ATTENTION

Rigid metal pipelines should be laid in conditions HUNDRED since it demands the corresponding qualification.
As flexible communications between rigid mobile elements of brake system, for example, supports, and a body of the car apply hoses. In the presence of visible damages hoses should be replaced.
If the tank of brake liquid completely appeared without liquid (for example, owing to a leakage in system or as a result of air removal when forgot to add liquid in the empty tank) air gets into the pump ABS. In this case air from system it is necessary to delete from safety reasons in conditions HUNDRED with use of the special device. In the presence of EDS it is in addition necessary to carry out adjustment with tester application. At installation of a new brake hose it is also necessary to remove air from system with use of the special device.
Do not allow contact of brake hoses to oil and fuel, do not coat brake hoses or means for protection of the bottom of the car against corrosion.


REMOVAL


ATTENTION

Observe rules of the treatment of the brake liquid, given In subsection Brake liquid.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift and establish the car on supports.
2. Remove a support, thus address to the subsection Removal and installation of a brake disk/support.
3. Disconnect a brake hose at directing and the holder of the coupling.
4. Disconnect a brake hose from the pipeline and at a support. Thus do not braid a brake hose. If it is necessary to replace a brake hose at a support, it is necessary to remove a support previously.
ATTENTION

Wipe a rag the flowed-out brake liquid. Close the corresponding stopper connection of the pipeline in the direction of the brake cylinder.


INSTALLATION

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish only brake hoses resolved by plant – the manufacturer. Establish a new hose so that it sagged without twisting and fix it the moment of 15 N • m to the brake pipeline.
ATTENTION

Fix a hose to a support with new sealing rings, a connecting bolt (a hollow bolt) to a support fix the moment of 35 N • m.


2. After installation at the unloaded wheels, having lifted the car, turn a steering wheel on the left and to the right and check, that the hose followed all movements of a wheel, without concerning adjacent designs.
3. Establish a support, thus address to the subsection Removal and installation of a brake disk/support.
4. Lower the car on wheels.
5. Check on the car standing on the earth, whether the hose follows all movements of a wheel, without concerning adjacent designs.
ATTENTION

inspect reliability:

– Whether fastenings of brake hoses are reliably tightened?
– Whether the brake hose in the holder is fixed?
– Whether unions of removal of air are tightened?
– Whether it is enough in the tank of brake liquid?
– At the working engine check tightness of system. For this purpose press a brake pedal effort of 200-300 N (20-30 kg) during 10 pages. The pedal should not depart. Check on tightness all connections.


6. Remove air from system in conditions HUNDRED.
7. Check action of system of braking on the road with not heavy traffic.
