Check of a condition of driving ridge belts
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The tension of a ridge belt is made automatically. It is necessary to check periodically a belt condition, and at detection of defects, to replace a belt.
2. The driving belts sometimes called by V-shaped belts of section or simply ventilyatorny belts, are in a forward part of the engine and play important role in operation of the car and its separate components. Because of features of a material and operating conditions driving belts fail after a while, and consequently their condition it is necessary to check and regulate periodically effort of a tension in order to avoid serious damages of the engine.
3. Driving belts are applied to actuating of the generator, the steering pump, the water pump and the compressor of central air of air. Depending on an arrangement of pulleys one belt can put in action at once some components.
4. Switch off the engine, establish RKPP in neutral situation. Lift and establish the car on supports.
5. Remove the bottom cover of an impellent compartment, address to the subsection Removal and installation of the bottom cover of an impellent compartment.
6. Mark chalk a belt-1-on well foreground.
7. From the bottom party of the engine a head turn the engine for a pulley of a cranked shaft in the rotation direction, i.e. to the right side so that cretaceous marking was visible. Thus a site behind a site see a belt.

9. The tension of a belt is checked by strong pressing on it by a thumb and definitions of degree of its deflection. Size of a deflection measure by a ruler. If the distance between centers pulleys makes from 180 to 280 mm, the size of a deflection should equal 6 mm. If the distance between centers pulleys is in limits between 300 and 400 mm, the deflection should be 13 mm.
10. In the presence of one or several of the specified damages maple it is necessary to replace a belt on new, thus address to the subsections Removal and installation of a ridge maple belt and Removal and installation of a maple belt.
11. Establish into place a lateral cover of an impellent compartment.
