GENERAL INFORMATION

Measurement of wear of a belt on the diesel engine

Diesel engine

It will be necessary for carrying out work for you:

– calliper,
– gear belt and tension roller (if necessary).

Even if the belt is not worn-out, it is necessary to make replacement each 60 00 km of run.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Open 3 brackets of fastening of the top part of a protective cover of a belt.
2. Take a cover above a little aside so that the belt was visible.
3. Measure by a calliper width of a belt – and–. If the width of a belt less than 22 mm, it means that the belt reached a limit of wear and it is necessary to replace it (address to an accompanying illustration).
4. Replace a gear belt and a tension roller, for this purpose address to subsection Installation of the piston of the first cylinder in VMT.
5. Fix brackets the top protective cover of a belt.
6. If the gear belt was replaced, on inside of a cowl fix a sticker with new date of replacement of a belt.
