GENERAL INFORMATION

4-step automatic трансмиссия*



The car is completed with 4-step automatic transmission with electronic control.

Switching on raised and low gears is carried out according to the programs which were stored in memory of movement.

Dynamic program of switchings (DSP)

Early transition on raised and late – on low gears provides optimum fuel consumption.
The monitor carries out an automatic choice of the program.

At a reserved manner of driving automatic equipment chooses the economic program of switching.

At a temperamental manner of driving with sharp dispersals and frequent differences of speed, with use of the maximum speed or after sharp pressing an accelerator pedal automatic equipment works in a range of sports programs. Late transition to overgears allows to realize an engine capacity stock completely. Switching on low gears is carried out at higher turns of the engine in comparison with the economic program.

The choice optimum on specific conditions of the program of movement represents continuous process. However irrespective of it it is possible to be switched to more sports program, having sharply pressed an accelerator pedal. Thus the transmission is switched to a low gear corresponding to the actual speed of movement, providing possibility of dynamic dispersal (for example, when overtaking) without necessity of sharp pressing against the stop accelerator pedals. After return switching on an overgear and at the corresponding mode of driving work on the primary program is restored.

The movement program in mountains operates a choice of transfers on liftings and descents. Thanks to it it is not required to be switched at movement to lifting. The pressing of a pedal of a brake at movement under a bias carries out switching on a low gear. Thereof it is possible to brake the engine without resorting to manual switching.

Blocking of the lever of the selector

Automatic blocking of the lever of the selector


At the included ignition the lever of the selector is blocked in the situation "R" and "N".

For a stragivaniye it of these provisions squeeze out a brake pedal. It prevents involuntary inclusion of transfer of a course and spontaneous movement of the car from a place.

As a reminder to the driver when finding the lever of the selector in the provisions "R" and "N" on the display of a control panel there is “BEIM EINLEGEN EINER FAHRSTUFE IM STAND FUSSBREMSE BETДTIGEN” indication (at a choice of a mode of movement of the motionless car squeeze out a brake pedal). Besides, on the coulisse of gear shifting the symbol represented above lights up.

At speeds approximately from 5 km/h and above there is an automatic cancellation of blocking of the lever of the selector being in the situation "N".

Blocking button



The button of blocking of the lever of the selector interferes with involuntary inclusion of transfers. By pressing of this button the lever of the selector is deblocked.

For illustrations red color allocated provisions at which it is necessary to press the blocking button.

Key blocking in the ignition lock

After ignition switching off the key can be taken from the lock only when finding the lever of the selector in the situation "R" (lay blocking).

After key extraction from the lock the lever of the selector is blocked in the situation "R".

Position of the lever of the selector

R lay blocking

Driving wheels are blocked. Lay blocking can use only after a car stop.

R backing transfer

Transfer of a backing can be included only after a stop of the car and at operation of the engine in an idling mode.

At the included ignition and finding of the lever of the selector in the situation "R" backing lamps burn.

N neutral situation (provision of idling)

Establish the selector lever in this situation only at long breaks of movement.

The D basic provision at advance

Switching on raised and low gears of a forward course is carried out automatically, depending on loading of the engine, speed and the program.

In a movement mode under certain conditions happens more preferable temporarily to transfer the selector lever to one of nizheopisyvayemy provisions.

3 situation for movement on hilly roads

This situation is recommended at frequent switching from the 3rd transfer on the 4th and back when the lever of the selector is in the main position "D".
The 4th transfer is blocked. Thanks to it the brake effect of the engine a little raises at the released pedal of an accelerator.

2 situation for movement in mountains

This situation is suitable for overcoming of long descents and liftings.
The 3rd and 4th transfers are blocked. It will allow to avoid useless switching on overgears and to increase brake effect of the engine.

1 situation for overcoming of abrupt biases

This situation is recommended for overcoming of liftings and descents with exclusively big bias of a longitudinal profile – especially at movement with the trailer.
The car moves only on the 1st transfer. It reaches the maximum brake effect of the engine.
ATTENTION

At manual switching on low gears it is possible to establish the selector lever in provisions "3", "2" and "1". However automatic equipment will be switched only after there is impossible a raznosny increase in turns of the engine.


Kick-down device

The Kick-down device allows to realize the maximum acceleration. By sharp pressing of a pedal of an accelerator with transition of a point of resistance automatic equipment is switched to a low gear depending on turns and speed. Switching on the following overgear occurs only on reaching the maximum number of turns of the engine.

Engine start


The engine can be got only when finding the lever of the selector in the situation "N" or "R". Address to also subsection the Lock of ignition and engine start.

Choice of a mode of movement

Before a choice of a mode of movement of the motionless car with working engine always press a brake pedal.
At the switching which is carried out to a troganiye from a place, do not press an accelerator pedal.

At inadvertent switching of the lever in the situation "N" during movement before returning to the necessary mode of movement, dump gas and wait falling of turns before idling.


ATTENTION

Irrespective of the chosen mode of movement, at the working engine hold the car a foot brake as even in a mode of idling completely kinematic communication of the engine with wheels does not disappear – the car "creeps".
At the motionless car with the included mode of movement at all do not add gas (for example, a hand in podkapotny space). Otherwise the car will start to move at once, it is possible even at the tightened hand brake.



Before the beginning of works with working engine transfer the selector lever to the situation "R" and tighten the hand brake.

Include the necessary mode of movement. Wait, while automatic equipment will execute inclusion, having created power short circuit of a transmission with driving wheels (at the moment of inclusion the little push is notable). Only after that add gas.

Stop

At short-term stops, for example, at traffic lights to be switched in the neutral situation "N" it is not necessary. To hold the car a brake enough. However the engine thus should work only in an idling mode.

Parking

At a stop out of the blue it is enough to include lay blocking. If the road has a bias, at first tighten the hand brake, and then include lay blocking. Thanks to it load of the mechanism of blocking decreases and its subsequent switching off is facilitated.

Emergency program

At malfunction of system automatic equipment is switched to the emergency program. About it fire / extinction all segments on a display board signals at once.

Depending on a road situation it is possible to interrupt communication of a transmission with driving wheels. At the subsequent start of the engine and movement (the selector lever in the situation "R" or "N") communication between a transmission and driving wheels is restored by installation of the lever of the selector in the necessary situation. However in situation "D" the 3rd transfer will join in any case. In need of bigger force of draft (for example, in mountains, movement with the trailer) it is possible to begin movement when finding the lever of the selector in situation "1".

Tiptronic*


The car is completed with 5-step automatic transmission with electronic control.

For the purpose of decrease in fuel consumption and environmental protection, on some updatings transmission is arranged so that the maximum speed of the car is reached only on the 4th transfer.

Switching on raised and low gears is carried out according to the programs which were stored in memory of movement. There is also a possibility of manual gear shifting (the manual program of switching).

Dynamic program of switchings (DSP)

Manual program of switching


For switching on a manual mode wring out the selector lever from situation "D" to the right. To be switched to a manual mode it is possible both during movement, and during parking. At the included manual mode, on the display there is an indication of the included transfer “5, 4, 3, 2, 1”.


When translating the lever of the selector forward (+) there is a switching on overgears. When translating back (–) – on low gears.

At dispersal on 1, 2, 3 and 4 transfers the box will automatically be switched to the following overgear shortly before achievement of the maximum turns of the engine.

When switching from an overgear on lowered automatic equipment will be switched only after there is impossible a raznosny increase in turns of the engine.

At operation of the Kick-down device transmission is switched to a low gear depending on speed of the car and engine turns.

Sports steering wheel of "Tiptronic" *


The keys located on a steering wheel give the chance manual gear shifting.

Certainly, gear shifting by the selector lever on the average console is thus possible also.

At the included manual program of switchings of a key on a steering wheel are shined.


At a nazhimaniye on the top party (+) switching on overgears occurs one of two keys.
